Couples Therapy
Relationships are difficult. Navigating through life with a partner can be hard especially when you come from two different angles. Getting support through counseling can be key in seeing things from another perspective, getting insight into toxic behaviors and learning how to reconnect.
With couples therapy, an individual can learn how to communicate more efficiently to express what he or she is feeling in an appropriate manner. The goal of couples therapy is to be able to hear each other without becoming defensive and to work together to decide what is best for the relationship.
Some issues that bring couples to therapy include:
- Addiction/Partner Addiction Support
- Balance (Work/Life/Family)
- Blended Families
- Chronic Illness
- Divorce
- Extended Family
- Infidelity/Cheating
- Intimacy
- Mental Illness
- Pre-Marital/Readiness
- Pornography
- Sex
In my couple’s therapy sessions, I work with an individual on how he or she feels and develop communication and coping skills. Once an individual is ready, they may invite their spouse into the sessions to discuss concerns so that the relationship improve.
If any of the above relate to your and your partner, please contact me today for a free 15-minute consultation.
